Return to Normal Word Document

After performing the mail merge you may want to remove all of the merge fields and return to a normal Word document. You can also change the document type after a mail merge. For example, you could convert the mail merge labels into envelopes.

Return to Normal Word Document

  1. Click the Start Mail Merge button on the Ribbon
  2. Return to normal document

  3. Select the Normal Word Document option from the list
  4. All mail merge fields are removed from the document and it is returned to normal
