Create an Envelope

Word can be used to print addresses onto envelopes. First you need to create an envelope in Word so that it knows the envelope dimensions and the addresses you want to print.

Create an Envelope

  1. Click the Mailings tab on the Ribbon
  2. Click the Envelopes button in the Create group
  3. Create an envelope in Word 2007

  4. Type the delivery address you want to use in the Delivery address box
  5. Or click the Insert Address button Insert Address button to use an address from your Outlook contacts

  6. Type the return address in the Return address box, or click the Omit check box if you do not wish to use one
  7. Click the Options button
  8. Select the correct envelope size

  9. Use the two tabs to specify how the envelope should be printed
  10. Envelope Options: Select the envelope size you are using and the font and the position of the address on the envelope

    Printing Options: Adjust the print settings such as how the envelope will be fed into the printer

  11. Click Ok
  12. Click Print to print the envelope. Don't forget to insert an envelope into the feed of the printer you are using first


    Click Add To Document to add the envelope to the document you are using. The envelope can then be printed again at later date without the need to set it up
