Inserting Pictures

Insert pictures into a Word 2007 document that have been taken with a digital camera, created from another program or scanned into the computer.

  1. Place the insertion point on the page in the position you want the picture to appear
  2. Click the Insert tab on the Ribbon
  3. Click the Picture button in the Illustrations group
  4. The Insert Picture dialogue box appears. Navigate to and select the picture you want to insert
  5. Inserting a picture

  6. Click Insert
  7. The picture is inserted onto the page in the position of the insertion point and the Format contextual tab appears on the Ribbon under Picture Tools. This will be used to format the picture over the next tutorials.

.gif, .gfa

Graphics Interchange Format

.jpg, .jpeg, .jfif, .jpe

JPEG File Format

.bmp, .rle, .dib

Tagged Image File Format
