Save a Presentation as a PowerPoint Show

A presentation can be saved as a PowerPoint show. This looks more professional when presenting, as the when double clicked the file opens in slide show view.

A PowerPoint show is read only, and is also useful as it enables those users who are unfamiliar with PowerPoint to view the show.

A PowerPoint file is saved with a different file extension of .ppsx

1. Click the Office Button and then Save As or press F12
2. Click the Save as type drop list arrow in the Save As dialogue box



3. Select PowerPoint Show from the list
4. Select the location for the file and enter a filename
5. Click Save

A PowerPoint show uses a different file icon so that it can be identified easily.
