Modify a Table

Change the column width or row height

Position the mouse pointer over the border of the column until the resizing arrow appears Resize a column. Click and drag the border to increase or decrease the column width

Or

Position the mouse pointer over the border of the row until the resizing arrow appears Resize a row. Click and drag the border to increase or decrease the row height

Distribute rows and columns

Rows and columns can be adjusted to be distributed evenly across or down a table.

  1. Select the rows or columns that you want to distribute
  2. Click either the Distribute Rows Evenly or Distribute Columns Evenly button on the Table and Borders toolbar
  3. Distribute rows and columns

Insert a row

  1. Select the row above or below where you want to insert the new row
  2. Click the Table button on the Table and Borders toolbar
  3. Click either Insert Rows Above or Insert Rows Below in the menu
  4. Insert a row

Insert a column

  1. Select the column to the left or right of where you want to insert the new column
  2. Click the Table button on the Table and Borders toolbar
  3. Click either Insert Columns to the Left or Insert Columns to the Right in the menu

Delete rows or columns

  1. Select the row(s) or column(s) you want to delete
  2. Click the Table button on the Table and Borders toolbar
  3. Click either Delete Columns or Delete Rows in the menu
