Modify a Diagram

A diagram can be modifed to add and remove shapes, change its layout and also to change the type of diagram used.

Add shapes to a diagram

  1. Select the shape before where you wish the added shape to be inserted
  2. Click the Insert Shape button on the Diagram toolbar Insert diagram shape

Remove a shape from a diagram

  1. Select the shape to be deleted
  2. Press the Delete key on the keyboard

Move a shape

  1. Select the shape to be moved
  2. Click the Move Shape Backward button Move shape backwards to move the shape backwards in the diagram
  3. Or

    Click the Move Shape Forward button Move shape forwards to move the shape Forwards in the diagram

Reverse the order of a diagram

Click the Reverse Diagram button on the Diagram toolbar Reverse diagram

Change the layout of a diagram

  1. Click the Layout button on the Diagram toolbar
  2. Select the relevant option from the layout menu that appears
  3. Change diagram layout

AutoFormat the diagram

AutoFormat allows you to quickly apply a style to the diagram

  1. Click the AutoFormat button on the Diagram toolbar Autoformat button
  2. The Diagram Style Gallery dialogue box is displayed

  3. Select an AutoFormat style from the list
  4. Click Ok

Change diagram type

  1. Click the Change to button on the Diagram toolbar
  2. Select the type of diagram you would like to change the current one to from the list
  3. Change diagram type
