Resizing and Moving a Chart

When a chart is created it is embedded in the worksheet within a frame.

Resize a chart

To resize a chart:

1. Select the chart
2. Click one of the 8 sizing handles along the chart frame and drag to the desired position

A faint border appears on resizing the chart so that you can preview the chart size before releasing the mouse button.

Move a chart

To move the chart within a worksheet:

1. Select the chart
2. Point to the charts frame until it changes to the cross arrow pointer



3. Click and drag the chart within the worksheet

Move the chart to another worksheet

You can move the chart as an embedded object to another worksheet or have it occupy its own worksheet.

1. Select the chart
2. Click Move Chart from the Location group on the Design tab



3. In the Move Chart dialogue box you have the option of moving the chart to a new worksheet or placing it as an object in another existing worksheet.



4. Select the option you want and click Ok
