Changing a PivotTables Calculation

A PivotTable summarises values using the Sum function by default. However, instead of totals you may wish to know the number of orders taken, or the average amount of them orders.

To change a PivotTables calculation:

1. Right click on a cell on the Data field and select Field Settings



2. The PivotTable Field dialogue box appears.

Choose the function you want to use to summarise your data from Summarize by list.



3. Click Ok

The summarised data in the PivotTable changes to use the new calculation.
